A Lazy Day in Florence...

Our lazy day in Florence was perfect after our laid back day in the Vatican. We walked around, got a feel for the city, and enjoyed being backpackers for a day. And, as a fitting complement, we found out that in Florence, restaurants that microwave your food really do exist...

About Us

Hi there!

For those of you who don't know us, we're two young adults from Texas trying to make the most of the time we have between graduating from college and having to deal with the responsibilities of adult life. One of the ways we planned on doing this was to travel the world. Unfortunately, we had neither the time nor the money to actually circumvent the globe, so we decided to make the most of it with a month-long backpacking trip through Europe.

Sahna is an future doctor who wisely took a couple of years between college and medical school in order to experience the world and find inner resolve to get through the grueling boot camp commonly referred to as med school.

My name is Abhinav, born and raised for half my life in India, and the rest of it in Texas. I will be starting my first full-time job this June as a software engineer in New York City. This trip through Europe will be my way of getting the most out of my youth before I join the ranks of the American workforce. Before I head to NYC, this trip is our chance to spend a lot of quality time together (including multiple entertaining arguments), while experiencing some of the world's most historical sights.

We hope that chronicling our experiences will serve two important purposes:
  1. Keep our family and friends back home updated about what is going on with us all those miles away.
  2. Provide very useful information to future backpackers based on our experiences.
We used several blogs and guides to plan our trip, but everyone has different experiences and circumstances, so we want to provide another set of eyes and opinions for everyone to be able to reference when planning such a trip for themselves.

Thanks for reading!
